| 内容記述 | 本研究の大きな目的のひとつは、和歌の同音異義表現をより正確に他の文化に伝達する方法を見出すことである。同音異義表現の中、当該表現が表す物象の特質などが人事と共通する例が多く、音の共通性の他、内容やイメージの関連性も見出せる。一方、「澪標」と「身を尽くし」や、（葦の）「節」と「伏し」などという、一見内容的な関連性が見出しがたい同音異義表現の場合も、これらの表現が用いられている和歌を検討すると、その関連性が見えてくる。それぞれの同音異義表現の物象叙述に見られる歌語が和歌文学の中に持っているイメージ、あるいはそれと関連する他の歌語を通して、当該歌の内または外に、物象と人事の叙述の内容的な関連が見出せ、連想によって結び付けられる例もある。本稿では「みをつくし」と葦の「ふし」という同音異義表現を例に、その詠まれ方を検討し、物象と人事の叙述との内容的な関連のあり方について分類を試み、歌語間の連想を中心に、その関連性について考察する。また、「みをつくし」を例に、現在までの外国語訳において、このような関連性がどのように反映されてきているのかについても紹介し、新しい翻訳方法を提案してみる。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | One of the purposes of this research is to find some methods to communicate the homophonous rhetoric of classical Japanese waka poetry into different cultures, as accurately as possible. There are homophonous phrases in waka poetry in which natural features and human affairs have similarities in their context besides the same sound. On the other hand, there are homophonous phrases, e. g. 'miotsukushi'（channel marker; to give one's everything）or 'fushi'（joints of reed or bamboo; lie; occasion）, in which it is hard to find any common points in their content but we can find them by examining how those phrases were used in waka poetry. We can find connections between natural features and human affairs in these phrases through the established image of natural features used in waka poems, and those connected to human affairs by association. In this thesis we investigate how two homophonous phrases 'miotsukushi' and 'fushi' were used in waka poetry and attempt to categorize what kinds of connections can exist between their two meanings （natural feature and human affairs）, then consider these connections by focusing on the associative relation with other waka phrases. Afterwards, we show how 'miotsukushi' has been translated into English and German, then try to suggest some new translation methods. | |||||
