| 内容記述 | 近年、日本語教育では、ある一つの形式が初級で一度扱われると、その形式に異なる用法があるにもかかわらず、その形式はすべて既習の項目として扱われてしまうということが問題視されている。では、初級で一度学んだ形式をどのように再度取り上げていけばよいのだろうか。本稿では、初級で一度学んだ形式を機能別に整理し、同じ場面で使われる形式を一緒に扱うことを提案する。 以下では、「逆立ちができた。」のような「実現可能」を例として取り上げる。この文は、「子供のころ、逆立ちができた（＝逆立ちをする能力を持っていた）」という「過去時の潜在的な能力を表す」という解釈のほかに、「昨日初めて、逆立ちができた（＝逆立ちをした）」という「過去時に実際に逆立ちをした」という解釈がある。後者が「実現可能」と呼ばれる用法である。まず、コーパスを用いて実現可能の用例が少ないことを明らかにする。そして、実現可能が必須である場面を明らかにし、その場面では、無意志動詞と有対自動詞が使われるのが普通で、実現可能は、無意志動詞と有対自動詞の穴を埋めるものであることを述べる。そして、そのために実現可能の用例が少ないことを指摘する。それを踏まえ、日本語教育においては、無意志動詞、有対自動詞、実現可能の3 つを動作主が自分の動作について動作を行う時点では、「できるかどうかわからなかったがやってみた。そして、どうなったかを述べる」という場面で一緒に扱うことを提案する。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | In Japanese language teaching, when a language form that has already been taught in an elementary course, it is treated as a known item, though it has a different use; this leads to a problem for the teacher. How do we teach a different use of the same language form, which is already taught in an elementary course, in an intermediate course? This paper proposes that we should first classify language forms in terms of their many functions, and then teach the language forms having the same functions together. To elucidate this point, we deal with the semantic function of an actual potential as in “sakadati-ga dekita,” which has two semantic interpretations. “kodomonokoro sakadati-ga dekita” is interpreted as the potential ability in the time of the past as in “I could stand on my hands in my childhood.”“kinou hajimete sakadati-ga dekita” is interpreted as an action that has been actually done as in “I was able to stand on my hands for the first time in my life yesterday.” The second one is the semantic function of the actual potential. First, we use a corpus to illustrate the fact that only a few examples of the function of actual potential exist. Second, we clarify when the function of actual potential is used. The function of actual potential is used to fill the gaps of non-volitional verbs and paired transitive verbs. This is the reason behind there being few examples of these because the incidence of such gaps is less. Finally, we propose a teaching methodology for teaching the function of actual potential. We gather non-volitional verbs and paired transitive verbs on the same context so that an agent does not know whether or not his action can be acted upon either before or after the action, so that it effectively describes the result. | |||||
