| 内容記述 | ヤーコプ・ファン・ライスダール作《ヴェイク・ベイ・デュールステーデの風車》とメインデルト・ホッベマ作《ミッデルハルニスの並木道》は、17 世紀オランダ絵画の中でも、特定の場所の光景を描いたトポグラフィカルな風景画として良く知られ、また多くの研究がなされている。しかしながら、これまでの研究においては、画面に描かれた個々のモティーフ（風車、帆船、並木道、苗床など）の具体的な検証は充分には行なわれておらず、結果として、これらの作品の意味合い、とりわけ17 世紀後半のオランダの人々が現実の生活との関わりの中で、この作品をどのように眺め、受け止めたのかという問題はなおざりにされてきた。本論文では、美術史以外の諸領域（技術史、経済史、農業史、郷土史など）の研究成果を踏まえつつ、両作品に描かれた個々のモティーフの詳細な検討を行なうことを通して、両作品を17 世紀後半のオランダという歴史的コンテクストの中へ戻すことを試みる。合わせて、美術史学におけるモティーフ研究（Motivkunde）の重要性を確認することも、本論文の目的である。 The Windmill at Wijk bij Duurstede by Jacob van Ruisdael and The Avenue at Middelharnis by Meindert Hobbema are two of the most famous seventeenth-century Dutch landscape paintings and are well known as representative examples of the topographical landscape. Although many art-historians have concerned themselves with these paintings, the meaning and signi cance of them for the Dutch people of that period, especially for those living in Wijk bij Duurstede and Middelharnis, has by no means been adequately studied. By closely examining motifs（windmill, sailboat, avenue, nursery, etc.）and by referring to the recent literature of related fi elds（technological history, economic history, agricultural history, etc.）the author of this essay tries to bring these paintings back to their original milieu, to the Netherlands in the second half of the seventeenth century. Th e author also hopes that this essay will make way for a renewed recognition of the importance of motif study （Motivkunde）in art history. |
