| 内容記述 | This paper introduces the concept of“Kids・Play－with－sand Hypothesis”and exp璽ains the effectiveness of Extensive Reading（ER）when we leam English as a fbreign language （EFL）．‘‘Kids・play・with・sand Hypo吐hesis，， encourages the leamers， individual initia¢ive and reinforces their positive attitudes¢oward置earning during塵essons． It also implies the importance of the teachers， role as a designer of language enVironment EXtensive Reading is thought to be quite an effective叩proach to masteri皿g English in the EFL con¢exしHowe▼er， i¢see㎜▼ery“iffrlcult¢o b酋ng ER in dass becauseεhe educational methOd iS totally diflrerent from山e¢radit藍①nal one， where teachers are to teach Enghsh to¢heir sluden的。 Basically studentS in ER are not伽ght English by teachers but learn Eng且ish from books by themse置ves aI the董r own pace． In this p叩er we Will overview the present situation of ER in Gakushuin and p且ant the seeds for a better environment of ER in Gak巴tshuin． | |||||
