| 内容記述 | In 2021, the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Centre of Gakushuin University started implementing small-size classes and steamed classes as the first stage of reforming of English Program. This study reports the findings of a survey and interviews in which students were asked for their opinions regarding small-size and streamed Reading classes. The participants in this study were firstand second-year students in the faculties of Law, Letters and Science. The survey took the form of a web questionnaire and was conducted at the end of the 2021 academic year. A total of 2347 students responded to the questionnaire. Interviews were also conducted to examine the reasons for answering questions. A total of 21 students responded to the interviews. The analysis of the responses shows that more than 90% of the respondents think the class size was suitable to have good communication with their theachers and classmates. About 78% of the first-year students and 67% of the second-year students think streamed classes are effective for studying with an easy mind. | |||||
