| 内容記述 | 本稿では1910 年代後半から1920 年代のドイツにおける表現主義演劇と表現舞踊の理論的言説を検討し、理論が新たな舞台芸術形体の定義と発展に重要な役割を果したことを明らかにした。彼らの理論の中心にあるのは「身体性」と「言語性」であり、ドラマテクストに代わる身体性に基づく新たな言語の必要性を論じている。言語を意味の体系と見るシュライアーとヴィグマンは、音としての声や身体の動きによる意味に還元されない芸術家のメッセージを重視した。それに対してラバンは、身体の動きが空間に作用する「空間言語」を探究し、記譜法や舞踊の哲学、心理学などの舞踊学を導いた。ヨースとシュレンマーはより観客を意識し、ヨースはバレエ技術を取り入れた劇場舞踊の言語を検討し、シュレンマーは「バウハウスダンス」の一連の作品で理論を示している。彼らの理論に共通するのは、言葉による理解と身体を通して感覚的に体験したものにはずれがあるという認識である。This article discusses the theories of Expressionist Theater and Modern Dance （Ausdruckstanz）in Germany in the late 1910s and 1920s, to reveal that theory plays a significant role in definitions of new theatrical forms and their development. The central constructs of these theories are ‘body’ and ‘language.’ They argue that a stage performance is not a representation of a dramatic text, but a creation of the artist’s imagination and, consequently, they explore the alternative ‘language’ based on the body. Regarding language as a system of signification,Lothar Schreyer and Mary Wigman examine the sound of the voice or movements of the human body, and still emphasize that the artist has a message independent from that system.On the other hand, Rudolf von Laban researches ‘space language,’ the effect of bodily movement on space, and leads Dance Studies such as notation, philosophy and psychology of dance.Kurt Jooss and Oskar Schlemmer focus particularly on the audience. While Jooss makes the language of Dance Theater （Tanztheater） with ballet technique, Schlemmer applies his theoretical model to the series of performance works known as The Bauhaus Dances. All these studies share the awareness that there is a gap between understanding through words and experience through the body. | |||||
