内容記述 | I show the fi ndings about a derivative told to have a common stem of a word “Suku.” And its derivatives are a verb “Sukumu(meaning of cringe)”,an adverb “Sukusuku-to(quickly and healthily)”,an adjective "Sukusuku-shi", and an adjective verb “Sukuyoka”. These seem to be apt to be thought that they have a common stem of a word "Suku". However, there are various tendencies in the single form “Suku” and the duplicate form "Sukusuku". I studied their examples, for I clarify each difference and similarity about four ward, deriving a stem of a word “Suku”. As a result, thereis a similarity between “Sukumu” and “Sukuyoka”, they are the single form of a stem “Suku”. They located in the root "hardness" and "strength". On the other hand, the words that they are the duplicate form , “Sukusuku-to” and “Sukusuku-shi” located in the root "a movement or a change is smooth". In other words, the four words should not be lumped together in the stem “Suku”, but can be divided into two systems, a system of the single form and a system of the duplicate form. In addition, in the late Heian period, meaning of the adjective “Sukusuku-shi” and the adverb “Sukuyoka” drew together. Both of these words had represented the “gravitas” and “brusqueness”. However they were divided into two systems, there is a possibility that their meanings had come close after, because of the closeness of the stems― “Suku” and “Sukusuku”. | |||||
