| 内容記述 | Liang Qichao advocated so－called‘destructionism’and was directed to revolution and republicanism at the beggining of the 20th century． After his visit to the United States in 1903， he declared the abandonment of republicanism and criticised the dest．ructionists， emphasizing the importance of Confucian morality in his article ‘Lun Si De’（On Private Moral）printed in Xin「Min Shuo（The New Citizen）． This apparent volte－face has been generally regarded an ideological retreat on his part． For Liang Qichao， however， the problem of revolution and republicanism was a matter of means for the salvation of the country even when he advocated them， whereas the Confucian morality in ‘Lun Si De’was an indispensable requisite for every patriot whether or not he was a revolutionist and republican． These two levels should be analytically separated． Liang Qichao remained unchanged before and after‘Lun Si De’in consistently giving the first priority to patriotism regardless the difference of envisaged political regimes． | |||||||||||
