| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study is to observe and analyze Shakespeare’s technique of rhetoric in which three related words, phrases, or even sentences are lined up. This time we use Cymbeline (CYM) as our corpus, especially from the view point of the repetition of words, phrases and sentences, or lining up of these factors, which we call “variation”. In this research, we can fi nd 87 examples1） of this phenomenon, and we concentrate our attention on the way these variations emerge, analysing how these variants are used by who, and when they appear, observing them according to the order of the acts and scenes in order to avoid readers’ boredom. | |||||
