And the digitalization of archives defi nitely will be the focus in the process of amending Law of Archives. In such an information age, it seems that all of us has taken the digitalization of everything for granted. However, as for archives, whether paper archives would be fully replaced by digital archives, and how to achieve the digitalization of archives and so on, obviously all of these questions can not be entirely resolved through the amendment of Law of Archives of China all at once. Nevertheless, no matter any solution we would take, all of that should be based on the research on the system of archives management in China. Therefore, this article analyzes this system from fi ve aspects, including the system of archives management agencies, quota of archivists, amendment of Law of Archives, chronicle of digital archive and the so-called “double-set” system and “double-track” system adopted simultaneously in China. All of these elements are related with each other.
