Based on that norm,Kureha\nbelieves himself as a “hentai” and thinks that he should not marry with innocent Korean Midori. This is change of the\nethnic hierarchy which the Koreans of the colonies was in a lower rank and the Japanese was in a higher it.In addition,his\nappearance to sacrifice himself for the Midori indicates the Japanese masculinity in this era. However,it is an imitation of\na Seiban kozou who has the image of indigenous peoples of Taiwan,who suffered the crime of Kureha,which also changes\nthe hierarchical relationship between Taiwan and Japan. Then the biological sex of Kureha is not disclosed man or female\nin the work.In that situation,Kureha tries to acquire masculinity and heterosexuality by telling.
