However, study of them is not readily advancing. There are various factors for this. There are few studies about wooden documents that were developed mainly on ancient wooden documents. And there are many points that would improve the investigation. In addition, it becomes an important problem to think about a system of wooden documents in the early modern times to examine individual wooden documents. We need a system of wooden documents of the Middle Ages, not of ancient wooden documents, while referring to the study of early modern wooden document. And it is necessary to continue and to inspect. On the history study, the points that can know the absolute year are utilized, but most of the wooden documents are everyday refuse. Wooden documents could be examined to help elucidate the daily life of the past.
