This porcelain that fascinated Western European aristocrats is called the “Kakiemon style.”  The “Kakiemon style” is a general term referring to a style of Hizen porcelain in the late 17th century; in particular, features such as color and composition are seen.  In this paper, we have taken up examples of this style in general and analyzed from four viewpoints (color, brushwork, composition, and foundation ), and we examined the elements and features that make up the painting. Also, we picked up case studies, analyzed their paintings, and compared them. As a result, the features seen in these works emerged, suggesting that there was demand in the figure.  Also, we reconfirmed that the emphasis on painting in the historical research of “the Kakiemon style” is in Nigoshide. However, it is not only Nigoshide itself that is important.
