Then I compared the difference of adaptation methods of “Education on Sustainability”, that is a new and important educational issue, to national curriculum between Japan and Korea. In Korea, the concept and learning contents of “sustainable development” were introduced to the environment subjects in the 2007 revision. Furthermore, in the 2015 revision “Environmental Project” was appeared in the first chapter of the environment subjects and research learning for environment was attached greater importance, both of them have great affinity to “Education on Sustainability”. In Japan, the word “sustainable society” came up in some subjects of national curriculum revised in 2008. As for the next national curriculum, the concept and learning contents of “sustainable society” will be greatly adopted in the existing subject of geography, history and civics of the high school. The issues common to Japan and Korea includes the conflictions with the interested parties of existing subjects and the entry to the university entrance exam.
