Due to the relatively large number of students whose mother tongue is not English, Australian universities offer two types of English programs:one is mainly for Australian students whose mother tongue is not English and the other is for overseas students who hope to enter university. The English program for“non-English”Australian students  provides a wide range of study skills which show that Australian universities are keen on keeping their educational standards at a reasonably  high leve1. The program for overseas students is given at a language school affiliated with the university. It provides two different courses:one for English for academic purposes and the other for general English. These courses give the overseas students a chance to move up to university level upon successful completion.}, pages = {101--118}, title = {オーストラリアの大学の英語学習プログラム}, year = {2005}, yomi = {ハヤサカ, マコト} }
