| 内容記述 | In this article the writer tries to establish a more effective way of letting students speak more in English and of enjoying their composition classes． If we use a text book in which various activities are presented not only for writing but also for listening and speaking， students might find it fun to learn English composition． There already are many such texts， but how we use them is the problem． One interesting idea is to introduce role－playing games． Through participating in such activities， students can get more confidence for speaking in public． And the assessment for which a video camera is used， seems to provide a useful technique through which a teacher can point out both students’good and bad points froln watching a display just after their performance． The technique allows for balanced consideration of both merits and dernerits． By making much use of such techniques， Japanese Ellglish teachers could reform their teaching styles so that students will have a chance to speak more English． | |||||
