| 内容記述 | 新型コロナウイルス感染症（COVID-19）のパンデミック以降、マスク着用は私たちにとって身近な感染予防行動となっている。本研究では、職場でのマスク着用における向社会的動機に注目し、マスク着用における本人の向社会的動機と職場の同僚の向社会的動機の知覚が、孤独感とどのように関連しているか、そして、その関連がどのような心理的プロセスによって生じているかを検討した。本研究は事前登録をしたうえで、2024年の3月12日から13日に日本人労働者を対象とする横断調査を行った。1,140名のデータに対する分析の結果、マスク着用における向社会的動機と孤独感との関連について、事前登録した4つの仮説のうちの1 つが支持された。マスク着用における本人の向社会的動機は、関係性欲求の充足と結びつくことで、孤独感を弱めることが示された。一方、マスク着用における同僚の向社会的動機の推測と孤独感との関連は認められなかった。これらの結果は、どのような動機でマスクを着用しているかによって、私たちの対人関係における経験が変わる可能性があることを示唆している。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Following the emergence of the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, mask-wearing has become a prevalent measure for infection prevention. This study focused on the prosocial motivation underlying mask-wearing in the workplace and examined the relationship between such motivation and the perceived prosocial motivation of colleagues with feelings of loneliness. Furthermore, the psychological processes mediating these associations were also explored. A pre-registered crosssectional survey was conducted among Japanese workers on March 12 to 13, 2024. Data analysis of 1,140 respondents supported one of the four pre-registered hypotheses regarding the association between prosocial motivation for mask-wearing and loneliness. The findings indicate that an individualʼs prosocial motivation for mask-wearing served to mitigate feelings of loneliness through its association with relatedness needs satisfaction. However, no significant association was found between colleaguesʼ perceived prosocial motivation and loneliness. These findings suggest that the motivation underlying mask-wearing has the potential to influence our interpersonal experiences. | |||||
