Ômiya s mother was the empress of Saga, marriage of The daughter of the empress is rare. Onna-Ichi-no-miya s mother is Jijuden-no-Nyougo. The emperor Suzaku had many daughters, but loved only Onna-Ichi-no-miya. So, she is an important imperial princess for the emperor Suzaku. Marriage of these two princesses was modeled after those who in reality governed the country in regency. But there are many diff erences between the fi ctitious and the real marriage of princess. The marriage of Imperial princess in Utsuho-monogatari had some important meaning against the history. And when the Emperor allowed his subjects to marriage his daughters,these subjects were approved very valuable persons for the Emperor.
