| 内容記述 | 本稿では、現場における指示表現が、台湾中部の日月潭周辺に住むオーストロネシア語族に属するサオ族の言語サオ語ではどのように表現されるかについて考察を行った。日本語では現場指示における指示表現は、話し手と聞き手の関係から、近称、中称、遠称の区別がコソアによってなされるのであるが、サオ語では、話し手を基準とした、話し手からの遠近、つまり、近称、中称、遠称の区別に、その対象が見えるか見えないかという「可視・不可視」が付加されて、使用される指示詞が決められる。サオ語には名詞修飾の指示詞「この、その、あの」、指示代名詞「これ、それ、あれ」・「ここ、そこ、あそこ」、指示動詞「ここに～ある、そこに～ある、あそこに～ある」があるが、それぞれの指示詞を「可視・不可視」「遠・近」を基に分類し、それぞれの指示詞の持つ意味・機能について分析および体系化を試みた。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This paper discusses research on demonstrative expressions in the Thao language. Thao is the language of the native Thao people residing in Taiwan’s central region and belongs to the Austronesian family of languages. The determinant in choosing a demonstrative expression in deixis of the Thao language comprises the distinction of visible and invisible and the perspective of the speaker. The Thao language has three kinds of demonstratives: demonstrative determiner, demonstrative pronouns, and deictic verbs. The meaning and the function of the demonstrative expression in deixis was analyzed and systematized by classifying speech samples. These were collected from informants taking into consideration their perspectives and the distinctions between visible and invisible elements. | |||||
