| 内容記述 | サルトルが日本に受容されるに当たっては、いくつかの困難が存在した。彼の多様な執筆活動に対応しきれない日本のアカデミズムの構造や、第二次世界大戦という世界の特殊な状況などがそれに当たる。 そうした困難を克服しつつ、サルトルの受容はまず作品の素描や翻訳から始まった。その蓄積はやがて、サルトルの作品を総体として論じる試みとなって現れる。その嚆矢となったのが、サルトルをフッサール現象学に基づいた自我の問題提起として読解する研究であり、自己と他者の関係を基礎付ける人間学として読解する研究であり、今日の人類が抱える思想的課題と格闘する文学者として読解する研究であった。これらの研究はいずれも、サルトルの思想家としての側面に焦点を当てていることが特徴的である。 しかし、サルトルの作品における形式及び内容の変化と、行動する知識人というイメージの流布とによって、そうした研究動向にも転換の時期が訪れる。日本におけるサルトルの受容はもっぱら実存主義者サルトルを前面に押し出すようになっていくのである。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This paper tries to clarify how Sartre’s thoughts came to be known and studied in Japan. At the time they were introduced into Japan, there were two main difficulties: the subdivided organization of special studies in Japanese academia and the grave situation of the world during World War II. The introduction of Sartre into Japan began with the sketch or translation of his works. These efforts easily made it possible to treat the works of Sartre as a whole. An assortment of studies appeared such as those which discussed his thoughts on the problematic of ego based on Husserlian phenomenology, those which concidered his thoughts as an anthropology founded on the relationship between the self and the other, and those which considered him to be a man of letters tackling every kind of task important for the modern human. Each one of these studies focused on the thinker in its own characteristic way. However, as Sartre altered the form and content of his works, and was held in high reputation as the intellectual who acts, the studies on Sartre gradually began to move in another direction. They came to project Sartre as an existentialist in the foreground of their interpretations. | |||||
