| 内容記述 | 「パリの住人の日記校注2」は、1411年10月16日の日付を含む21番の記事から、内容から見て1413年3月に書かれた47番の記事までを解題する。 1412年5月29日から6月20日まで、戦地に赴いた王の無事を祈願する行列が、連日パリの街を行く様子を描いた記事群が圧巻である。一日の漏れもなく曜日を列挙していて、「中世ナチュラリズム」とわたしの批評する中世人の律儀なメンタリティーをよく表している。 この稿冒頭の記事、21番の記事はいろいろな意味でおもしろい。「土手道でパリ方に襲いかかり」の「土手道」lachaussee（la chauss6e）がどこかを知ろうには、当時のパリのモンマルトル門を出たあたりの地形を案じなければならないのはもとより、現在のパリの街路の名前に照らし合わせてみる必要がある。考古学ならぬ考現学の手法が有効なわけで、これは日記を読む上で全般に有効な手法であるといえる。 また、この記事は、写本のフォリオ16裏の最後の行で終わっているが、最後の数語がainsi advint「アンシ・アヴィン」と、一見唐突な観を与えるところから、テユテイは、このあとになお続く文章が欠落したものと判断した。そうして、その文章には、まさにこの記事が書かれた時点で、パリの人たちのあいだで大変な話題に上ったはずの出来事が書かれていたに違いないと推理した。これは、しかし、日記を、19世紀のブルジョワ社会の成員の常識で読み取ろうとする態度を端的に示すものであって、この態度は批判されなければならない。ainsi advintはainsi advint con dieu plaistの省略と見ることができる。当時ふつうのいいまわしである。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This paper offers a collation and annotation of“Pari no junin no nikki”， customarily called in French“Journal d’un bourgeois de Paris”， from the item 21 dated 160ctober 1411 to the item 47 written probably in March 1413． The items dated from 29 May to 20 June 1412 describe the processions which go up and down， day by day， day and night in the streets of Paris， praying to God for the safety of the king on the battlefield． These items represent well the scrupulous mentality of the people of the Middle Ages， which I designate“the naturalism of the Middle Ages．” The item 21 is very interesting． If one wants to know where was“lachaussee”in the sentence “et vindrent sur lachaussee a eulx”， one has to imagine the landscape outside the Montmartre gate of the old Paris and to check the names of the streets of the present Paris． We need both the archaeology of old times and of present times in the search of places nominated in this journal・ This item ends at the last line of folio 160f the manuscript with the last words“ainsi advint”． It makes an impression of suddenness． Alexandre Tuetey， the editor of this journal in the 19th century， thought that the author wrote more， and that these words were lost during the tradition of the manuscript． And he thought also that one could read there a story of the anecdota of political intent and in which the parisiens of this tirne had the greatest interest． But it represents the reading on a supposition according to the common sense of the bourgeois society of the 19th century． One can read‘‘ainsi advint”as the abbreviation of‘‘ainsi advint con dieu plaist”， and this abbreviation was common at that time． | |||||
