内容記述 | In this essay, I would like to give considerations to why many of the young perform the street dance ,by usingthe contemporary social circumstances concerning the body as a hint. By doing so, I think I'll be able to findanother different possibi一ities of the dance.Street dance is certainly a dance as a quality of movement, but it is not trying to express something by dancing. It might be possib一e to think that the street dance is "showing" the body. When a child enter elementary school, they often read aloud in class. They read 一etters with which they thinksthe correct pronunciations, and from the reaction around them, they confirm that the reading was correct. In thesame way, street dancers also confirm thier bodies are in good shape by showing their bodies. And the streetdancers don t just stand there and remain silent. They are protected by a style of dance. In that point of view, itcould be said that the secure bodies the street dancers are showing are protected by a style of dance which areplaced apart from the bodies they were originally given. Also spacially, dancers create an extraordinary space by dancing, and the others breaking into that space wouldbe prohibited. If the audience jom the dancers or show a reaction of dance, they might be impeached by thedancers as "they had ruined the dance". From what I have mentioned above, the communication which is under noattack from the others, and which seperates the others spacially will be possible in the street dance. Even if it isunilateral, the dancer's purpose of"showing the body" is accomplished. When we try to start the communication, it brings with it a strain that we deed to communicate might be deniedby the opponent. And everyone thinks that they want to avoid been denied to even start a communication as muchas possible. And the street danncers have a good excuse for a denial of communication. This is a pose of "notperforming the dance, but enjoying the dance". But, "not performing"is the pose I think. So 一one as the streetdancers go to pub一ic places and dance, they are tacitly assuming the audience. However, to prepare for the worst ofno one stopping to see them dance, the dancers strike a pose as if they are "not performing" for a secure excuse. Bystriking a pose like this, dancers are free I'rom the possibilities of the denial of communication. From that point of view, the street dance has become a place where we can securely ascertain the body we madeup. That is may be why the street dance capture the young people's heart. | |||||
