This process was time-consuming and challenging for determining where, and how, the discrepancies occurred. To address this issue, the latest revision introduced a new feature where the system automatically calculates differences between the shadowing transcription and the model text, highlights the erroneous parts, and provides the correct form.Moreover, it calculates a “Shadowing Score” as a percentage based on the alignment between the two texts. This enables learners to evaluate the accuracy of their shadowing performance more objectively. In addition, the previous version of the VoiceShadow plugin was compatible with Moodle version 3.9.x but did not support versions above 4. To cope with this, the VoiceShadow plugin was revised to function seamlessly with newer Moodle versions.
