「有」 と 「在」 の表記史 : 「アリ」と「マシマス」をめぐって アリ ト マシマス ノ ヒョウキ シ アリ ト マシマス オ メグッテ The history of writing of "有(is a Chinese character)" and "在(is a Chinese character)" 佐藤, 麻衣子 サトウ, マイコ Sato, Maiko application/pdf 『今昔物語集』の「有」「在」は、基本的に、「有」は「アリ」を表記し、「在」は「マシマス」を表記するという使い分けがある。『今昔物語集』の両字に関わる表記史を、「マシマス」の語史を視野に入れつつ、調査した結果、以下の結論を得た。（１）「有」「在」は、平安前期に、すでに、「アリ」を表記する漢字であったが、平安前期・中期、「マシマス」は、訓点語としての使用が中心で、漢字による表記が行われる機会・必要自体が生じにくかった。（２）平安後期に入り、「マシマス」が、訓点資料以外の場でも使用され始め、『今昔物語集』のような文献において、「在」による表記が行われるようになった。（３）「アリ」は、平安の早い時期から、「在」よりも、「有」による表記が優勢の傾向が見られ、「在」を「マシマス」の表記にあてることで、『今昔物語集』のような使い分けが成立した。（４）鎌倉・室町期にも、「マシマス」の使用は続き、『今昔物語集』と同様の表記が確認される。 In this paper, We discuss the relation of Chinese characters “有, 在”, and Japanese words “ari, mashimasu” in mainly Heian era. “有” and “在” roughly correspond to being and existing, respectively. “ari” and “mashimasu” are similar word, and have both meaning of being and existing. However, “Mashimasu” is a slightly polite word. As a conclusion, we have found the followings. In early Heian era, “ari” was mostly written as “有”, but at the same time written as “在”. On the other hand, in early and middle Heian era, “mashimasu” was used in “Kuntengo” and not often used in other literatures. In late Heian era, even in the other literatures of “kuntengo”, “mashimasu” had begun to be used. And, “Mashimasu” became to be written as “在” in “Konjaku monogatari shū;今昔物語集”, and so on. In Kamakura and Muromachi era, “mashimasu” had also been used.
