We researched four emotions - enjoyment, sadness, angry and disgust- which college students felt in daily life. They were asked to write their emotional events for eight days and the events were categorized. As a result, enjoyment had five categories, “fulfillment”, “contact”, “gratitude”, “action” and “relief”, and negative emotions had common five categories, “failure”, “self-hatred”, “interpersonal conflict”, “scene” and “condition”. Moreover, sadness had a specific category, “loneliness”, and angry and disgust had a common particular category, “attitude”. In regard to the frequency of occurrence, strength and importance of each emotion, the enjoyment’s values were the highest in four emotions. In addition, as the total amounts of the event’s frequencies and the reported event’s free writings were counted, there were differences among them and the positive emotional events in free writing were more reported than the negative emotional events when the events were happened.
